Welcome to Module 1, Product Management: The Fundamentals of the Product Management Capstone Project course.

The scenario for this project introduces a solar-powered water heating system with an information technology (IT) component.

You will then watch a demo video describing the Porter Five Forces Model a strategy tool. It evaluates market attractiveness and aids in decision-making and planning. Next, you will illustrate potential product growth strategies using the Ansoff Matrix.

The module will conclude with a hands-on laboratory. You will be challenged to apply the Porter and Ansoff models to the product scenario and perform a product manager skills inventory.

You will end the module with a glossary of key terms, a module summary, and a ten-question graded quiz to simulate questions you are likely to receive if challenging the Certified Product Manager certification test.
